Where a child is born should not determine how far they can go.

EDUCATION OPENS WHAT’S NEXT

Mas houdou Future Leaders Fund expands educational opportunity for children and young people in rural Guinea through stronger schools, greater support, and more inclusive learning environments.

Education creates possibility.

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and build their future. Mas Houdou Future Leaders Fund works alongside schools and communities in Guinea to identify and remove the barriers that stand between students and their education.

WHAT WE FOCUS ON

  • Education Access.

    Helping students stay in school.

Address practical and financial barriers that can prevent children from enrolling or attending consistently, from essential school materials and uniforms to other locally identified needs.

  • Learning Environment.

Creating environments where students can thrive.

Strengthen access to the resources and learning opportunities students and teachers need, including books, classroom materials, literacy support, and other school-identified priorities.

  • Inclusion and Equity.

Making education work for every child.

Remove barriers that disproportionately affect girls and other underserved students, including menstrual health, disability-related exclusion, and other challenges identified by schools and communities.

Featured Project

A newly built single-story building with a group of people gathered outside under a covered porch, some sitting on benches. The area outside is under development with piles of bricks and construction materials. A white vehicle is parked nearby, with lush green trees and blue sky in the background.

In Dossari, Guinea, we worked with a rural public primary school serving more than 300 students to strengthen the learning environment based on priorities identified with the community. Together, we repaired classrooms, provided desks and chairs, restored blackboards, improved sanitation facilities, installed doors and windows, installed a working well to supply water, and improved the school grounds. The experience became the foundation for our community-led approach to supporting schools.

OUR APPROACH

Every school is different. Through our Adopt-a-School model, we build long-term partnerships with schools and their communities to understand the barriers affecting students before deciding where to invest.

A step-by-step infographic titled 'From listening to action' showing four stages: 1. Partner — Build relationships with schools and communities, 2. Listen — Understand barriers affecting students and learning, 3. Prioritize — Identify where support makes the greatest difference, 4. Act — Invest in solutions based on priorities.
